Common questions
Are e-signed leases legally binding?
Yes. eIDAS-compliant in EU/UK, UETA / E-SIGN-compliant in US. We've worked with property law firms to ensure the audit trail meets evidentiary standards. Legal counsel can review the certificate format.
Can residents sign on their phone?
Yes. Mobile-first signing flow. Most leases are signed in 5 minutes from the resident's phone, no laptop or printer required.
What about deposit protection certificates?
Auto-generated and posted to the resident's portal vault when the deposit is registered with the protection scheme (DPS, MyDeposits, TDS). Required by UK law within 30 days.
GDPR retention?
Configurable per document type. Default rules: KYC data 7 years post tenancy end (per AML rules), tenancy data 6 years post end (per UK statute), marketing data 2 years post last contact.
